Although I photograph close to 200 boudoir sessions every year, every now I then I will do a vintage pin-up session for a repeat client who already had a boudoir session or a gal who prefers a retro vintage look instead. Pin-up sessions are sexy, fun, and glamorous. Unlike most gals who prefer the 40’s and 50’s look, my preferred era is the 60’s. I love just about everything about it! The hair (both puffy and flat), the short dresses, the pencil skirts, the rompers, and the makeup.
Recently, I decided to setup a separate brand just for pin-ups. Well.. I’ve done this before (a few times actually), but the busy boudoir life always keeps me away from the pin-up life. Putting together a retro brand it’s takes a lot of time! From collecting the right wardrobe, researching themes, to planning the photo sessions. However, I’m not willing to let go of my vintage dream just yet, which is why I decided to become my own model and spokesperson for my pin-up brand. I’m planning a fun vintage shoot and use the images for the new Pin-Up Facebook page and Website. The photo you see in this page is a selfie I took with my phone while trying out a specific look for my first shoot. I want to show all the gals out there that age or size doesn’t matter when you really want to feel glamorous and sexy. I’m going to walk the walk; with awesome makeup of course. 😉
